ABOUT OUR LODGE
The West Citrus Elks #2693 is a proud and active lodge of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, located in Homosassa Springs, Florida. Dedicated to the values of charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity, our lodge serves as a cornerstone of community involvement on Florida’s Nature Coast. With a welcoming spirit and a commitment to service, our members work together to support veterans, youth programs, and local charities, while fostering friendships and fellowship among members.
As part of a nationwide fraternal organization, West Citrus Elks #2693 upholds the long-standing Elks tradition of giving back. Through scholarships, holiday food drives, fundraising events, and outreach programs, we strive to make a positive difference in the lives of those in need. Whether you're a longtime Elk or a prospective member looking to get involved, you'll find a warm and supportive community ready to welcome you with open arms.
ELK OF THE MONTH
The West Citrus Elks Lodge #2693 is proud to introduce a new recognition program—Elk of the Month—to celebrate members who go above and beyond in service to our Lodge and community. Each month, we’ll highlight an outstanding Elk (or Elks!) whose dedication, volunteerism, and spirit truly exemplify what it means to be an Elk.
Our very first Elks of the Month are Susan and Don Adams, whose leadership and commitment have made a remarkable impact. Susan and Don played key roles in organizing the Veterans Event in September and are now hard at work preparing for the upcoming Veterans Dance in November. In addition, Susan serves as Chair of both the Sewing for Veterans group and the Veterans Committee, tirelessly supporting those who have served our country. Their passion, teamwork, and generosity set an inspiring example for all members—thank you, Susan and Don, for everything you do!

ELKS IN ACTION - RECEnt NEWS & STORIES
🎒 Backpack Donation to The Path of Citrus County
On August 4, 2025, The West Citrus Elks Lodge #2693 proudly donated 12 backpacks to The Path of Citrus County to support local students and families in need as they prepare for the upcoming school year.

This donation is part of the Elks' ongoing commitment to giving back and supporting the Citrus County community.
💜 Quilts of Honor for Purple Heart Ceremony
On August 9, 2025, the Inverness Elks Lodge 2522 hosted a special Purple Heart Ceremony. Members of the West Citrus Elks Sewing for Veterans joined Richard Hunt, Commander of the Aaron A. Weaver Chapter 776, Military Order of the Purple Heart in presenting their handcrafted Quilts of Honor to Purple Heart recipients.

Each of these ladies sewed a quilt and Susan quilted them with a special hidden outline of a purple heart medal. The beautiful, custom-made quilts serve as a heartfelt token of gratitude to honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of our nation’s heroes.
🏠 Welcome Home Kit Donations to Veterans
Throughout the year, the Veteran Committee of West Citrus Elks Lodge #2693 proudly donates Welcome Home Kits that are designed to help homeless veterans moving into their new homes.

🧦 534 Pairs of Socks Donated to The Path
The West Citrus Elks are proud to support our community! On September 24, our lodge donated 534 pairs of socks to The Path of Citrus County in Beverly Hills, FL.
